Kathy Patten was clinically dead for 45 minutes before she was brought back to life. This happened in the same hospital where her daughter was in the middle of a 39-hour-long labour.
Kathy, who is from Maryland in the USA was given a second chance at life.

Patten was on the golf course when she received a call that her daughter Fifer had gone into labour. Shortly after arriving at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center, she suffered a heart attack.
She was taken to the emergency room where doctors attempted CPR. However, very quickly, doctors lost her pulse, she recounted to WJZ-TV. The soon-to-be grandmother had no blood pressure or oxygen to the brain for 45 minutes, which indicated that she was clinically dead.
At the same time, her daughter required an emergency C-section. Then, the first miracle happened as the doctors were able to bring Kathy back to life.
“It was a second chance at life. I’m just going to be the best person I can be in every way and I’m grateful for every minute I have,” Patten told the news station.
A while later, Stacy gave birth to baby Alora. She said, “It was just fate that my mum was intended to be here. My mum is here because of Alora, and she happened to be in the right place at the right moment. She is nothing short of a walking miracle.”
Grandmother, mother, and baby are healthy. Now, doctors at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center are saying “thank you” to the family who has taught them so much.
This was nothing short of miraculous.
