On her way back home from collecting a lottery jackpot, the Maryland woman stopped and purchased a Pick 5 ticket, which earned her an additional $50,000.
Victoria Sadler, 59, of Nottingham, informed Maryland Lottery authorities she was going to Royal Farms on Washington Boulevard in Baltimore after winning a progressive jackpot in the Fast Play Home Run Riches Second-Chance drawing.
Sadler bought a Pick 5 ticket for her grandson’s birthday. Last year, the same numbers earned her a $25,000 prize. The grandson’s birthday numbers were even more fortunate the second time, as they won a $50,000 prize.

“My jaw dropped when I realized I had won! I couldn’t believe it, I was so happy,” Sadler added. The winner stated that her recent prize will assist in funding a family trip to Walt Disney World. She added that the remainder would be saved and invested.

Maryland Lottery Winner Won 15 Jackpots After Buying 15 Tickets
A similar occurrence happened in Maryland, where a man who bought 15 lottery tickets for the same drawing won 15 $50,000 prizes for $750,000. The 65-year-old Accekeek resident informed Maryland Lottery officials that he had won smaller jackpots in Pick 4 and other games before, but his Pick 5 jackpot is by far the largest.
The guy went to Brothers Liquors on Old Fort Road in Fort Washington and bought 15 identical tickets for the same Pick 5 drawing, each of which won $50,000. The 20-year federal employee winner said the $750,000 prize will allow him and his wife to retire comfortably.
