Asia’s richest man Mukesh Ambani has thrown two big events this year so far and those were just curtain teasers before the finale – his youngest son Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s impending wedding which is set to take place on July 12.

Ambani Family
Isha Ambani leads Reliance Retail. She is also a non-executive director on the RIL board, and part of the executive leadership teams at Reliance Retail, Reliance Jio, Reliance Foundation and Dhirubhai Ambani International School. Her twin brother Akash Ambani, is the chairman of India’s largest mobile firm, Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd. He is also a director on the board of Reliance Retail Ventures Ltd. Lastly, Anant Ambani heads the energy businesses of Reliance Industries and its global operations in renewable and green energy. He also serves as a Director on the boards of Jio Platforms Limited and Reliance Retail Ventures Ltd.

Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani’s twins, Akash and Isha, were born in October 1991. In a 2009 interview with Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla, Nita Ambani shared the story behind how they chose the names for their children, as per a report by DNA.
Nita Ambani disclosed that her husband, Mukesh Ambani, the Chairman of Reliance Industries, was responsible for naming their children, “I was in the US and he (Mukesh) had returned to India. But on landing, he got a call asking him to get back to the States. So, he, mummy (Kokilaben), and Dr Firoza got on the flight — which is where the pilot announced the news of the arrival of the children — a boy and a girl. All of them were so excited.”
On The First Ladies show, Nita Ambani was then quoted as saying, “Mukesh was flying over the mountains when he got the news that we had a baby girl — so, she was named Isha — which means Goddess of the mountains. And because they were in the sky — Akash.”
Following the birth of their twins in 1991, Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani had their third child, a son, in 1995, whom they named Anant Ambani.
