London: Shane Warne’s on and off the field antics could soon be turned into a movie, it has been revealed.
TV bosses are in talks to make ‘Shane Warne: The Movie,’ which could feature his romance with his fiancee Elizabeth Hurley, the Mirror reported.According to sources, his cricket career and stormy private life are ready-made for movie treatment, and Australia’s Channel 9 has confirmed its interest.The movie based on the 42-year-old cricketer’s life – beset by scandals including allegations of extramarital affairs, explicit text messages to women and the breakdown of his marriage to Simone Callahan – is likely to attract interest from UK channels.The movie would follow on from a cricket film called ‘Howzat,’ that recently pulled in 2 million TV viewers in Australia.”I’ve already had a stage play which was wonderful,” Warne told Melbourne’s Triple M radio.”Whether I’m doing a Howzat! thing – I’m not sure yet,” he said.
