London: Maria Sharapova, who has reached the semi-final of the French open with a 6-2, 6-3 win over Kaia Kanepi, has revealed that she loves the way people in Paris go about their lives.
The 25-year-old tennis player, who is a bride-to-be later this year, has given the women’s game a major injection of fresh interest.”I love looking at what people do – and Paris is at another level. I love the way people go about their lives, sit at a cafe and enjoy just living,” the Daily Express quoted her as saying.”Everyone sits close to each other, listening or eavesdropping, their conversations only a few centimetres from the cars going by. It’s so very different to what I’m used to.”Who wouldn’t want that lifestyle? I could eat at the best restaurants, have escargot and little strawberries – and then put on 20lb.”I have a balanced life now, and I try to improve every year,” she added.
