Technology can work both ways – good and bad. There has often been an argument that technology often takes the joy out of what it means to be living in your right senses.
But we belong to a generation where technology is an integral part. It is helping us to co-ordinate our imagination with reality. And in various cases, connecting us to history in a way never seen before.

The positive use of technology often reminds us why it can be an asset. There are software that can successfully recreate and visualise historical monuments of architectural significance and objects of importance to cultural heritage. Alternately, it has been successfully used to restore artefacts and photographs dying in the passage of time.
One of the great example of that comes from a Twitter user ALLU, who happens to be a digital artist. He has just gone on to make the most of what modern technology has to offer by ‘restoring’ an old, highly pixelated and damaged photo of revolutionary freedom fighter, Chandra Shekhar Azad.
For reasons known, the technology during that time was rare and opportunities for photographs scarce.

But looking at how the new version of the photo has turned out, it is a masterpiece of its own kind.
It is no surprise that the tweet has gone viral given the mastery that is on display. The post already has more than 62,000 likes and over 8000 retweets.
