Politicians during election rallies are known to make tall promises and woo the crowd with quirky dialogues.
But this Congress MLA inadvertently left the crowd in splits after a huge slip-up, he cheered for the Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra, instead of his party leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.
The MLA named Surender Kumar made the blunder during a public rally by delivering the slogan ‘Priyanka Chopra Zindabad” and is now become the butt of all jokes online.
In the video, the Congress leader, Surender Kumar, can be heard shouting and gesturing to the crowd, urging it to repeat after him: “Sonia Gandhi zindabad, Congress party zindabad, Rahul Gandhi zindabad, Priyanka Chopra zindabad.”
Immediately, the Congress’s Delhi unit chief Subhash Chopra, who was standing next to the leader, is seen evidently ‘shook’ over his silly error.
“Thank God!! Rahul G either didn’t attend or skipped that rally or was not invited for that rally. Surely, they would have shouted #RahulBajaj zindabad,” a Twitter user posted.
“Since when has Priyanka Chopra joined the Congress?” another Twitter user posted.
