While we all may be cribbing over our everyday 9-5 jobs, there are some jobs that will make you feel grateful for the job you have. One such dangerous job is of a snake rescuer. Snake rescuers are responsible for locating poisonous snakes in unusual places and rescuing them safely without any harm.
Renowned snake rescuer and handler named Vava Suresh known for rescuing snakes from human habitats was bitten by a cobra on Monday while being on a mission in the Kottayam district, Kerala. He is in critical condition.

Suresh was trying to capture a cobra in Kottayam when the snake bit him on his right leg. He was then rushed to the hospital.
A video of the same is going viral on the internet. It was captured by a local resident who showed the moment when Suresh got bitten by the snake in the said village. As Suresh put the reptile inside a gunny bag, it crept up close to his leg and bit him above the knee. He, however still managed to place the snake inside the bag before locals rushed him to a private hospital.
A video shared on Twitter was captioned “The moment when popular snake handler Vava Suresh got bit by a cobra in Kottayam, Kerala. He’s currently in critical condition.”
According to the Indian Express, the hospital officials shared that the rescuer was unconscious when he was brought in. He is reportedly in a critical condition and anti-venom is being administered to him.
People on the internet prayed for Suresh’s safe recovery and mentioned how dangerous his job actually is. Many even said how life is much more important than a dangerous job like this.
Suresh became a popular name in Kerala for always promptly responding to calls from people who spotted snakes in their homes and backyards. He subsequently rescues these snakes and then releases them into the wild. He also headlined a show on a private TV channel based on his snake rescue missions.
According to Quint, the man has reportedly rescued over 50,000 snakes and animals. He became the go-to name for people who found snakes in their homes and backyards.
